Wick Dipper
A candle wick dipper is used for extinguishing candles, and it has several advantages over blowing out a candle or using a snuffer:
1. **Smoke-Free Extinguishing:** Instead of blowing out the candle and creating smoke, you can use a wick dipper to bend the wick into the wax. The flame is extinguished by the wax and the wick is primed for the next burning, which significantly reduces smoke.
2. **Avoid Wick Damage:** When you blow out a candle or use a snuffer, it can cause the wick to become misshapen or damaged, making it harder to light the next time. A dipper allows you to keep the wick in good condition.
3. **Resets the Wick:** Using a wick dipper, you can also 'reset' the wick after extinguishing the flame. You do this by dipping the wick into the melted wax and then straightening it again. This coats the wick in wax, priming it for the next time you light the candle.
4. **Promotes Even Burning:** By dipping the wick and coating it in wax, you're helping to ensure an even burn the next time you light the candle.
So, while a candle wick dipper might not be a necessary tool for everyone, it can certainly enhance your candle-burning experience, making it cleaner and more efficient.
